You can’t slurry love!
A FARMER decided to mark the wedding of his little sister by sentimentally writing the bride and groom’s names in… 150-ft lines of SLurry
Cheeky Jamie Halcrow, 25, wanted to celebrate his sister Fiona’s marriage to Iain Currie in three weeks’ time.
So he drove his tractor round a field, writing ’IAIN (HEARTS) FIONA’ in giant script made from slurry.
His salute to the couple’s upcoming smelly-brations cover two of the family’s fields, making the message easily visible from the air too.
Fiona, 22, said she was shocked to see her name in poo, but could see the funny side of the prank which Jamie carried out on Monday morning.
Fiona, who lives with her mum, dad, brother and two sisters near Lerwick, Shetland, said: “I was pretty embarrassed at first but it was really funny too.
“When I realised what he had written it in I thought that was pretty disgusting, but my friends thought it was hilarious so did Mum and Dad.
“Iain and I are getting married in three weeks time in Shetland. We met at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and he proposed to me last March, but we’ve been going out about two-and-a-half years.”
Fiona, who did an Accountancy and Finance degree, said her brother’s good-humoured tribute did help lift some of the stress of the upcoming wedding.
But, the relieved bride-to-be confessed: “It’s washed away now so it’s not there anymore which is good.”
